I found seven interesting AI plugins for WordPress that can help you automate various aspects of your operation online. Each one tackles a different job, and each one earned its spot on this list.
And right out the gate, just in case you’re worried… “AI on a WordPress site” doesn’t have to mean basic chatbots that only annoy all your visitors. The plugins I’m featuring here help you get specific tasks done. From smart RAG-powerd chatbots, to SEO helpers, automation integrators, page layout builders, and more. We have it all.

Below, I walk through each plugin and what it actually does. You’ll see which scenarios fit which tool, so you can match the right one to your site. If you run WordPress and you’re curious about AI, this list gives you a good place to start. Let’s dive right in! 🤿
1. Hyve
Kicking off our list is Hyve. This tool lets you add a chatbot to your site that’s trained entirely on your own content vs responding with random stuff based on the model’s own context, which can be quite useful… I’m sure you agree.
The way it works is that it uses retrieval-augmented generation to go through your posts, pages, products, custom content, and then builds answers based only on what’s there. This means the chatbot knows your prices, product details, and also what’s in your docs or blog posts. If a visitor asks something that’s not mentioned in your content, Hyve can admit it doesn’t know instead of inventing an answer. Responses can also link back to the page they came from, so visitors can click through and read more.
Hyve is easy to set up. After installing the plugin, you can either run it through Hyve Connect, the plugin’s hosted AI service, which comes with free monthly credits and doesn’t require an API key. Or, you can connect your own OpenAI API key and choose your favorite model from the ChatGPT family.
⚙️ Key Features:
- AI chatbot trained on your posts, pages, WooCommerce products, custom post types, and also (pro) your uploaded documents
- Answers based only on your content, with links back to the source pages
- Hosted AI with free monthly credits, or bring your own OpenAI key
- Place the chat anywhere using a WordPress block or shortcodes
- Premium version adds lead capture, document imports (PDF, Word, CSV), live WooCommerce product search and order status checks, and full chat history with insights
💳 Pricing: Hyve Lite is free and includes the core chatbot features listed above. If you want extras like lead capture and document imports, Hyve Pro starts at $79 as a one-time lifetime payment for one site.
2. All in One SEO (AIOSEO)
The next WordPress AI plugin I’d like to introduce to you is All in One SEO (AIOSEO). This is one of the most popular search engine optimization (SEO) plugins on the market. It enables you to easily optimize content for SEO and user experience. This way, you can rank better in search results.
However, many users might not be aware that AIOSEO is also an AI plugin. Its built-in AI tools let you generate SEO titles, meta descriptions, FAQs, key points, social media posts, and even full articles with simple text prompts (not that I’d advise you actually do it).
You can also create images with the AI Image Generator and build schema markup with the AI Schema Generator. Plus, as everything else nowadays basically, AIOSEO also includes an MCP server. It works with the WordPress Abilities API, too.
⚙️ Key Features:
- Robust suite of SEO tools, including XML sitemaps, schema markup, content analyzer for keyword optimization, etc.
- AI Content Generator for titles, meta descriptions, FAQs, key points, social posts, full articles
- AI Image Generator and AI Schema Generator
- Bulk AI generation of titles, descriptions, image alt text
- MCP server and WordPress Abilities API support
- Compatible with WooCommerce
💳 Pricing: AIOSEO’s free version includes 100 AI credits, so you can test the AI features we discussed above. If you want more sophisticated SEO features, you can upgrade to a paid plan starting at $49.50 per year.
3. Uncanny Automator
Next up on our list of AI plugins is Uncanny Automator. As the name suggests, this tool is all about automation. I used to use this one a lot back in the day. I think we had something like 15 automations running at the same time on the blog at its peak. Nowadays the plugin pairs with a built-in AI assistant and an AI page builder.
In simple terms, using Uncanny Automator, you can automate and streamline your website management without having to code. You can create “recipes” in which unique actions trigger automation for email marketing, ecommerce, and even elearning.
The plugin also includes Uncanny Agent, a conversational AI assistant, accessible in your WordPress admin. It answers questions about your site, drafts content, completes tasks, the lot. Free AI usage comes included with the plugin, so you don’t need API keys or a separate AI subscription to get started if you’re not ready.
On top of that, Uncanny Page Builder lets you describe a page in plain language and have the AI design and build it for you.
Similar to AIOSEO, Uncanny Automator integrates with OpenAI. You can also connect other leading AI providers in your recipes. For example, using the plugin and its OpenAI/ChatGPT integration, you can use AI actions to proofread, translate, or generate text.
⚙️ Key Features:
- Build no-code automation workflows with unlimited plugin-to-plugin recipes – kind of like IFTTT
- Built-in Uncanny Agent AI assistant with free usage included
- AI page builder that designs pages from plain-language descriptions
- OpenAI/ChatGPT integration, plus Anthropic, Google Gemini, and more
- Compatible with WooCommerce
💳 Pricing: Uncanny Automator comes in a free version, which includes free AI usage to get you started, unlimited plugin-to-plugin automations, and hundreds of triggers and actions. But if you want more Uncanny Agent usage and advanced workflow features like delays, conditions, and loops, you’ll need the premium version of the tool. Uncanny Automator paid plans start at $25 per month, billed annually.
4. Voicer

Now, let’s take a look at Voicer. This is the first (and only) text-to-speech AI plugin on our list.
Using machine learning and artificial intelligence, Voicer enables users to convert your website’s text into human-like speech. This can be great for customer service needs or even providing enhanced web accessibility.
Voicer is compatible with popular page builders like Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi, and more. It is also lightweight, working smoothly with most WordPress themes. That means it won’t slow down your site.
⚙️ Key Features:
- Converts text to speech using AI
- Offers 310+ voices across 45+ languages and variants
- Compatible with popular page builders, WordPress themes, and WooCommerce
- Powered by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API
💳 Pricing: A regular Voicer license costs $39 and includes support for six months.
5. Elementor AI
Elementor AI, which is included in the widely used page builder plugin, offers quite an impressive suite of AI features now. It’s potentially particularly interesting because of its agentic AI capabilities that it unlocks for WordPress.
You can describe what you want in natural language. Elementor AI promises it’ll build it for you. That covers custom widgets, sections, full layouts, and even WordPress snippets. Everything it generates comes out as (nearly) production-ready with fully editable code.
Since it’s built on top of Elementor, this is an excellent all-around AI plugin to help users streamline website and content creation.
⚙️ Key Features:
- Included in the Elementor page builder plugin
- Agentic AI that builds custom widgets, sections, full layouts from plain-language prompts
- WordPress snippet generator with production-ready, fully editable code
- WooCommerce compatible
💳 Pricing: Elementor AI is included in the free Elementor plugin. However, if you want to generate custom code using AI, you’ll need one of the Elementor Pro plans, which start at $59 per year. Alternatively, you can buy Elementor AI credits to generate limited text, images, and code.
6. AI Engine
AI Engine focuses almost entirely on AI features. The dashboard is kind of complex though, so you might need a while before you get a grasp of it. Its main selling point is that you can use it to create a custom chatbot for your website.
In addition to the chatbot, the plugin gives you a full-screen AI Workspace inside your dashboard, along with tools for translation, text correction, content generation, image creation, AI-powered forms. Plus there are also tools to help manage WooCommerce products, orders, even inventory.
Then, you can use the plugin’s AI Copilot directly in your WordPress editor. It can correct, enhance, translate, or rewrite your text, and it can generate new content from scratch, too.
⚙️ Key Features:
- Create a custom, AI-powered chatbot for your site
- Use AI features for SEO, content generation, and more
- Works with WooCommerce products, orders, and inventory
- Connects to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, and more
💳 Pricing: AI Engine is a free plugin, with a Pro version that adds advanced features like usage statistics and cross-site chatbots. Either way, you’ll need your own API key from the AI provider you choose, and you pay that provider directly for usage.
7. Divi AI

Next, let’s look at another page builder AI plugin. Divi AI is included within Divi’s visual builder, offering tons of useful AI features for website creation.
Divi AI lets you generate text, images, code, and even modules. It can also build entire websites or individual pages from a single prompt, filled with AI-written content and AI-generated photos (whether you like it or not).
One cool thing about Divi AI is that you can refine and alter pre-existing images. For example, imagine you have used the tool to create a cityscape in winter. Later, you could return to that image and prompt the tool to maintain the same cityscape but depict it in the summertime. You can also upscale low-resolution images or extend an image beyond its original frame.
Furthermore, when you’re using the text generator, it’s able to pull information from the rest of your website. This enables it to create more intuitive results. The code generator works in a similar way. It’s trained on the Divi module codebase, so it can write custom CSS/HTML/JavaScript that fits right into your modules. There’s also a Divi AI Agent that builds layouts, updates design settings, and manages pages, menus and templates based on plain-language requests.
⚙️ Key Features:
- Generate images, text, code, and Divi modules using AI
- Build entire websites and pages from a single prompt
- Store your brand’s fonts and colors for on-brand AI layouts
- Accessible via the Divi Builder
- Compatible with WooCommerce
💳 Pricing: Divi AI is included with Divi Pro, which bundles the Divi theme and builder with all of Elegant Themes’ pro services. Divi Pro plans start at $277 per year. If you already have a Divi membership, you can add Divi AI separately for $193 per year.
