If you’re attending WordCamp US 2024 in person or online, I have great news!
In late August, we got our first look at the full lineup and schedule for this year’s event, which will be held in Portland, Oregon from September 17-20.
Yes – those are the correct dates (I double-checked them!). This year’s event is unique in that it’s scheduled to wrap up on Friday, whereas previous events would finish on Saturday. The goal here is that attendees will still have their entire weekends free, either to explore Portland or to return home in time for some relaxation.
- Things will kick off with Contributor Day on Tuesday, September 17,
- a new Showcase Day on Wednesday,
- and then two days of talks on Thursday and Friday.
What’s more, the events will end a little earlier in the day this year, with the goal of increasing networking opportunities for people. For example, on Thursday, the last event ends at 3 PM, and then there’s a scheduled networking block from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM.
For comparison, the last talk on the first day of WordCamp US 2023 ended at 5:30 PM and there was no scheduled networking after that.
In terms of the talks themselves, you’ll find plenty of great options spread across three different locations. Some of the bigger talks are the only talk going on in a certain time block, while other time blocks will have three different talks running at the same time.
You’ll find talks on everything from the open source community to WooCommerce, the interactivity API, using WordPress for educational institutions, WordPress Playground, WordPress accessibility, growing a WordPress agency, and lots more.

If you still wish to attend in person but don’t have a ticket yet, I believe that you can still purchase General Admission tickets for $100 – just click this link. There are also Micro-Sponsor tickets for $750 if you want to be listed on the WordCamp US Sponsors page.
