WPShout Needs Your Help!

Hello! It’s a new WPShout article! That hasn’t happened for way too long! Sorry for the unexplained absence. What have I been doing? Excellent question. I’ve been uber busy at college, to answer it. In this post I just wanted to clear up a couple of things and ask for your help in maintaining WPShout in the future.

The future of WPShout

Is unclear at the moment.

I’ve not had the time of late to update the site of late and I don’t think that’s going to change going forward. It’s sad but true, I’m afraid. Increasingly I’m spending what was WPShout time on making music and working on other commitments rather than churning out content. This gives me a problem: WPShout can’t and doesn’t update itself or keep itself running.

As I see it, this leaves me with three options: do nothing, ask for “guest posts” to keep the site going or sell the site on.

The first option isn’t really an option, the second option relies on the generosity of you — the readers — and the third option is something that is increasingly attractive

In an ideal world I’d be able to sell the site to someone who would be happy to maintain it and post new content. I’d be content the site is in good hands and you’d still get the same lovely content.

Why tell you this?

I’m looking to get opinions, if I may. I really wish I had the time to make WPShout awesome again, but regrettably the reality is that isn’t going to happen. I want to know what you think, if you’d be so kind.

So what’s happening to Alex?

By no means am I going. Hopefully I’ll soon be re-entering the premium themes market; make sure you’re following me so you see it.

Thanks for all your support. It’s not over yet (what people say could very well swing it!) but this is a brutally honest account of where I stand. Hopefully you’ll understand where I’m coming from.
