WPShout Needs Your Help!
Hello! It’s a new WPShout article! That hasn’t happened for way too long! Sorry for the unexplained absence. What have I been doing? Excellent question. I’ve been uber busy at college, to answer it. In this post I just wanted to clear up a couple of things and ask for your help in maintaining WPShout in the future.
The future of WPShout
Is unclear at the moment.
I’ve not had the time of late to update the site of late and I don’t think that’s going to change going forward. It’s sad but true, I’m afraid. Increasingly I’m spending what was WPShout time on making music and working on other commitments rather than churning out content. This gives me a problem: WPShout can’t and doesn’t update itself or keep itself running.
As I see it, this leaves me with three options: do nothing, ask for “guest posts” to keep the site going or sell the site on.
The first option isn’t really an option, the second option relies on the generosity of you — the readers — and the third option is something that is increasingly attractive
In an ideal world I’d be able to sell the site to someone who would be happy to maintain it and post new content. I’d be content the site is in good hands and you’d still get the same lovely content.
Why tell you this?
I’m looking to get opinions, if I may. I really wish I had the time to make WPShout awesome again, but regrettably the reality is that isn’t going to happen. I want to know what you think, if you’d be so kind.
So what’s happening to Alex?
By no means am I going. Hopefully I’ll soon be re-entering the premium themes market; make sure you’re following me so you see it.
Thanks for all your support. It’s not over yet (what people say could very well swing it!) but this is a brutally honest account of where I stand. Hopefully you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

If you going to Enter the premium theme Business so keep it it will hel you in the future for promoting your new business
Sad to hear that Alex, but I understand. Accept some guest posts and update the site if you have spare time. Hope I can help too.
No on selling the site, as I don’t want it to have the same fate as wpdesigner.com. 😛
Still, It’s your call. Best of luck. 🙂
Alex,
Sorry to hear about WPSHout, if you need anything doing just drop an E-Mail and I can write some guest posts if you want me to. I’m not the most experienced but I understand enough I think 🙂
Hi Alex
I would also be sorry to see wpshout.com go away, but I fully understand your reason. I think it is great you did not go with the “do nothing”-option 🙂
If you should choose to pursue the guest-post approach, drop me a note.
I am sure you’d be able to sell this site, it is a beautifully designed blog with solid content.
I hope you will find it possible to sell it to someone with at least some WordPress knowledge that can grow what you started.
Live long and happy.
I am so sorry about it. I would like to help in some way, but if you want my real and brutally honest opinion: If I were you I would sell, because there is a lot of work writing a blogpost, I know that. And WPShout.com has a name. Hope to be helpful.
Thanks for the thoughts, Pablo.
I would like to help out as well. I’m not much of a writer but maybe I could do some guest posts.
Thanks very much Angela, I’ll let you know if I need your help!
Hi..
Sorry to hear about WPShout..I dont just think that this effort of yours should die down. I am an Interaction Designer in Hyderabad, India and would definitely like to contribute articles to WPShout… I dont know if I am experience enough (2.5yrs) into my profession and hence would not like to be deliver a so called guest post…I would just like to think of this as an excellent opportunity for me 🙂
Thanks for this Alex.!
Regards,
Aditya
Thanks for the support Aditya.
If you paid the writers option 2 would be viable 😛
Hello Alex 🙂
Sorry to hear WPShout had to come to this… :/
Anyways, I believe i can contribute with some guest posts (frequently if possible, i have college aswell xD).
If interested let me know as i don’t want to see WPShout come to an end.
Thanks
Thanks very much Tiago. Hopefully I’ll get a load more comments like yours and I’ll have been fretting over nothing!
