June WordPress News: Plugin Directory Changes, Envato Acquired, Our Hosting Survey

Hey there, WordPress fans!

I am back with the latest edition of our monthly WordPress news roundup, which covers everything that happened in WordPress over the past 30 days…or so.

In this edition, there’s plenty of juicy news, including changes at the WordPress.org Plugin Directory, a bunch of big acquisitions, some WordPress plugin vulnerabilities, and a large change in Google Search that will impact a lot of WordPress sites. And oh yeah, we also published the 2024 version of our annual WordPress hosting survey, so you can check that out, too.

As with last month, I’ll divide the news into five different sections.
