Easy Social Sharing with AddToAny

The importance of social media to marketing success on the internet today is hard to understate. It basically is the avenue of marketing success on the internet. I’d add that social share buttons are hardly a solution to finding marketing success on the social media, but helping your audience share you content does markedly make them more likely to do so. (For real success you need more difficult things like engagement with and from your followers, etc.)

There are, for WordPress, lots and lots of plugins that offer social share buttons. They vary, almost exclusively, in design. Their basic functionality is all pretty similar. AddToAny is the plugin we’re highlighting today. Its primary selling point is the sheer and huge diversity of services they make it easy to share to. But setting up AddToAny is as easy as any WordPress plugin I’ve ever seen. You can just install and activate and you’re basically set.

Here’s a video explaining:

How to Make it Easy to Share Your Content on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, and More

  1. Click on “Plugins > Add New” in the left sidebar of your WordPress administration area.
  2. Search for “AddToAny”.
  3. “Install” and “Activate” the plugin (author should be shown as “AddToAny”) from the search results.
  4. You’re set. People can start sharing your content on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ with one click. A number of other networks are just a hover and click away.
  5. If you want to customize the appearance of the buttons — which will now be visible at the bottom of your posts — you’ll want to go to “Settings > AddToAny”. On that screen you can change button size, add or remove different social networks to share to and a whole lot more.

Happy sharing!

Yay! πŸŽ‰ You made it to the end of the article!
