💡 Overview

InMotion Hosting is a web hosting company known for its wide range of hosting and development options, fast servers, and excellent customer service. InMotion Hosting also lets you have multiple domains on all plans, with the Core plan letting you have two websites and one parked domain.

Still, I prefer the Launch plan because it significantly raises the bar on most features. For instance storage space is doubled and many other things are increased to unlimited, including parked domains, email addresses, and MySQL databases.

💰 Cost of Launch plan

Promo RateRenewal RateAdditional .com Domains
$4.57 per month
Billed at $164.52 for 3 years
$13.99 per month
Billed at $503.64 every 3 years
$23.00 per year

💡 Pro Tip: If you want to save money on domains, consider buying a domain from Cloudflare Registrar instead and then link it to your InMotion Hosting account. The setup process is a bit technical, but you’ll only need to do it once and then you’ll be saving money indefinitely. Alternatively, check out our full list of cheap domain registrars (which includes Cloudflare) for some other options.

🤔 Who this plan is best for

The InMotion Hosting Launch plan is a great choice if you want to create between 3 to 25 websites and have professional email addresses for all of your staff without breaking your budget.

2. Hosting.com (formerly A2 Hosting) – Pro

A2 Hosting

⚙️ Features of Pro plan

  • 10 websites
  • 50 GB of NVMe storage
  • Free domain for one site (in the first year)
  • Free SSL certificates for 10 sites
  • 20 email addresses (with uncapped storage per inbox)
  • 20 staging sites
  • Your choice of four server locations (Dallas, TX USA; London, UK; Frankfurt, Germany; Singapore)
  • Unlimited total bandwidth (capped at 150 MB per second) with uncapped monthly page views
  • 10 parked domains
  • 10 subdomains
  • Malware scan and protect for your sites, with anti-virus and anti-spam for your emails
  • 24/7 phone, live chat, and ticket support
  • cPanel not installed by default; it’s available but at a higher rate

💡 Overview

Hosting.com is the new home of A2 Hosting. They’ve got fast servers, excellent customer service, and top-notch security systems. I especially like that they let you choose from four server locations during the checkout process. This is helpful if your visitors will be mainly coming from certain regions of the world, as it will speed up their experience.

As for the Pro plan, it’s actually the third tier among Hosting.com’s shared hosting plans and is ideal for anyone who needs up to 10 websites. The tier below is the Plus plan and technically can also be used for multisite purposes, but only if you need no more than 2 sites.

💰 Cost of Pro plan

Promo RateRenewal RateAdditional .com Domains
$6.99 per month
Billed at $83.88 for 1 year
$22.99 per month
Billed at $275.88 every year
$11.99 first year
$21.99 per year renewal

🤔 Who this plan is best for

Hosting.com‘s Pro plan is another great option if you want to build multiple websites and create email addresses for a variety of staff members. The number of security measures in place also makes it an excellent choice for businesses that need to protect sensitive data. Of course, it’s always a good idea to take additional security measures.

3. SiteGround – GrowBig

The best multiple domain hosting plans: SiteGround homepage

⚙️ Features of GrowBig plan

  • Unlimited websites
  • 20 GB of SSD storage
  • Free domain for one site (in the first year)
  • Free SSL certificates for all sites hosted with SiteGround
  • Supports roughly 100,000 monthly visits
  • Unlimited email addresses (with shared 10 GB between all)
  • Unlimited parked domains
  • Easily ship finished websites to clients
  • Choose from 11 different global server locations during checkout
  • Automated daily backups with on-demand backup available
  • Out-of-the-box caching
  • Unlimited databases
  • 24/7 phone, live chat, and ticket support
  • Custom hosting dashboard (Site Tools) with lots of useful tools

💡 Overview

SiteGround is known for providing some of the best managed WordPress hosting plans in the industry. The company has also won several awards for customer service.

The GrowBig plan gives you access to SiteGround’s high-quality tools for website management and security for an unlimited number of websites, plus the ability to park any number of domains. You’ll also get unlimited databases and emails.

There are a few drawbacks to this plan when compared to the rest of the market. The two major ones are storage space, which is on the lower end with a 20 GB limit, and the fact that the renewal price is significantly higher than the promo price. Though the latter could also be seen as a benefit in the sense that you get a great first-year deal. Finally, the storage uses standard SSD, rather than the newer (and faster) NVMe models that many competitors offer.

💰 Cost of GrowBig plan

Promo RateRenewal RateAdditional .com Domains
$4.99 per month
Billed at $59.88 for 1 year
$29.99 per month
Billed at $359.88 per year
$19.99 per year

🤔 Who this plan is best for

SiteGround‘s GrowBig plan is ideal for WordPress users who don’t need a lot of storage space. In other words, smaller, simpler sites. Although you can technically host unlimited websites, the true capacity is probably closer to 10, given the 20 GB storage constraint. You can check out our SiteGround review for more information.

4. ScalaHosting – Start

Scala Hosting homepage

⚙️ Features of Start plan

  • Unlimited websites
  • 50 GB of NVMe storage
  • Free domain for one site (in the first year)
  • Free SSL certificates for all sites hosted with Scala Hosting
  • Free CDN
  • Unlimited databases
  • Unlimited email addresses
  • Unlimited parked domains
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • Automated backups
  • Choose from three server locations at checkout (U.S. and Europe)
  • 24/7 live chat and email support
  • cPanel included

💡 Overview

ScalaHosting is a little-known web host with fast servers and affordable, feature-packed plans that make it easy to scale your business.

The Start plan has earned its way onto this list by offering unlimited websites, parked domains, email addresses, and bandwidth. The only thing that isn’t unlimited with this plan is the storage, which is still pretty generous at 50 GB.

There aren’t a lot of visible drawbacks here other than it’s possible they might oversell server resources to make more money per server. This is purely speculative and based on the fact that they have two unique lines listed in their features that you don’t find on many other hosting websites – “guaranteed resources” and “guaranteed performance” – and only their highest tier plan has a green checkmark for both. All the other plans, including the Start plan, have a red X.

Do with that information what you will. It’s just an observation. Everything else about the plan appears solid.

💰 Cost of Start plan

Promo RateRenewal RateAdditional .com Domains
$5.95 per month
Billed at $214.20 for 3 years
$13.95 per month
Billed at $502.20 every 3 years
$16.95 per year

🤔 Who this plan is best for

The Start plan from ScalaHosting is a great choice if you’re looking to build multiple websites on a tight budget.

5. Bluehost – Basic

Bluehost homepage

⚙️ Features of the Basic plan

  • 10 websites
  • 10 GB of NVMe storage
  • Free domain for one site (in the first year)
  • Free SSL certificates for all sites hosted with Bluehost
  • Free CDN
  • Supports roughly 40,000 monthly visits
  • 5 email accounts with 100 MB storage each (via Roundcube)
  • Unmetered bandwidth
  • 10 parked domains
  • Caching (static content and object)
  • Daily website backups
  • AI site creation tools
  • 24/7 live chat support
  • Easy management of multiple sites through cPanel, as well as some custom dashboard tools

💡 Overview

Bluehost is one of the most well-known companies in the web hosting space thanks to its reliably fast servers and the variety of tools available for WordPress users. There are also several types of hosting plans available through Bluehost, allowing you to stick with one host no matter how much your business grows.

One of the big downsides with the Basic plan is that it doesn’t offer much in the way of email hosting. Officially you get 5 email accounts through the Roundcube service, but each one only supports up to 100 MB. This isn’t very usable in a real-world context unless you continuously clear out your inbox.

With that said, the Basic plan still comes with a generous lineup of other features like free SSL certificates for all the websites you have with Bluehost, unmetered bandwidth, a free Cloudflare CDN, and a free domain name in the first year for one site.

For heavier needs, the next level up – the Choice Plus plan – is roughly double the initial promo rate but gives you way more than double of storage (50 GB) and supports up to 50 websites.

💰 Cost of Basic plan

Promo RateRenewal RateAdditional .com Domains
$1.99 per month
Billed at $23.88 for 1 year
$11.99 per month
Billed at $143.88 per year
$12.99 first year
$23.99 per year renewal

🤔 Who this plan is best for

The Bluehost Basic plan is a great place to start if you only need to host a handful of domains. Officially, the plan caps you at 10, but with only 10 GB of storage space, it means that in practice, you could run ~5 smaller sites or 2 to 4 larger ones. This is entirely dependent on your needs though. If you plan on using the plan for relatively simple sites with mostly text and some images here and there, then you could squeeze out the full 10 offered by the plan. Especially if you use an image optimization tool to conserve space.

How to choose the best multiple domain hosting plan for your needs?

👉 To make your choice easier, let’s review a few important concepts, starting with what to look for when you’re on the hunt for a multiple domain hosting plan. Then we’ll talk about resource availability, which is often a hidden trap.

What to look for in a multiple domain hosting plan

A good plan for hosting multiple domains will have all of the same things as a high-quality plan for hosting one domain (such as 99.9%+ guaranteed uptime and fast loading speeds), along with several features that make it easier to manage multiple domains:

Easy management of multiple sites through cPanel or an alternative

This allows you to save time by managing all of your sites through the same easy-to-use cPanel technology.

The ability to add multiple IP addresses

Using multiple IPs ensures that if one site is blacklisted, it only impacts the reputation of that one site and not your other sites.

Free and/or easy SSL certificates

Most high-quality hosting plans offer free SSL certificates for your first domain. For multiple domain hosting, SSL certificates should also be available for additional domains, either bundled into the cost of your hosting or for a small additional fee.

Unlimited email accounts

You want to be able to create custom email accounts for all of the people who work on your various websites.

Parked domain management

This makes it easy to manage domains you’ve registered but aren’t currently building a website for.

Domain alias support

This allows you to point multiple domains at one website. For example, you might purchase the .com and .net versions of a domain, host the site on the .com domain, and set up the .net as an alias, so anyone adding “.net” as an extension still gets directed to your site.

📌 And most of these features are focused wholly on hosting multiple domains. If you want to host multiple websites on one plan, you’ll also need to consider resource availability.

Resource availability for multiple sites

The other thing you need to consider when choosing a plan is the resources available to you, specifically:

  • Ratio of storage to how many websites you can have
  • Bandwidth

As you noticed with several of the plans featured here, the number of supported sites can often be more of a marketing draw than a realistic cap. This is because the amount of storage space offered is limited. Depending on the size of each of your sites, that space could easily be used up well before you reach the max site number. Ultimately, it comes down to what types of websites you plan on building, which is why it’s important to pay attention to the storage number just as much as the supported websites number.

In terms of bandwidth, there are many multiple domain hosting plans that offer “unlimited” or “unmetered” bandwidth, but in practice, this also functions as a marketing tactic. They actually do have a limit, it’s just buried in their terms and conditions. The limits are high enough that most single sites will never exceed them – which is why they get away with advertising them the way they do – but you’re a lot more likely to hit the limit if you’re running multiple sites.

This makes it important to figure out what those hidden limits are. You can usually find the information with a close read-through of the terms and conditions associated with a specific hosting plan. You may also be able to reach out to customer service and ask them directly what the limits are on specific plans. If they respond with “unlimited,” gently push back and ask them to give you a link to where it says that in the terms and conditions.

All of these plans include great features 🚀 like a free domain in the first year for one website, but the best option for you depends on what you’re planning to do:

  • If you want to create multiple large websites with professional email addresses for each site’s team but you don’t have a big budget for web hosting, choose InMotion Hosting‘s Launch plan or Hosting.com‘s Pro plan.
  • If you want managed WordPress hosting for all of your sites and you’re willing to spend more for it, SiteGround‘s GrowBig plan is your best bet.
  • If you want to keep your costs down and still have access to a great variety of features, ScalaHosting‘s Start plan is a great choice.
  • If you only need a handful of smaller sites (~2 GB each) and free email hosting isn’t important, then Bluehost‘s Basic plan is a perfect option.
