The Role

We’re looking for a Documentation Writer to create clear, user-friendly documentation for our WordPress page builders and plugins. You’ll help users understand and maximize our products through comprehensive guides, tutorials, and reference materials.

What You’ll Do

Write user documentation for WordPress page builders and plugins
Create step-by-step tutorials and how-to guides
Document feature updates and new releases
Collaborate with developers to understand technical functionality
Test products from a user perspective to identify documentation needs
Maintain and update existing documentation
Create video tutorials and visual guides when needed
Organize documentation structure for easy navigation
Gather user feedback to improve documentation quality

Required Skills

Writing: Excellent writing skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
WordPress: Solid understanding of WordPress, themes, and plugins from a user perspective
Documentation Tools: Experience with documentation platforms (GitBook, Confluence, or similar)
Visual Communication: Ability to create screenshots, diagrams, and basic visual aids
User Focus: Understanding of user experience and ability to write from user’s perspective
Organization: Strong organizational skills for structuring complex information
English: Native or near-native English proficiency
Self-Direction: Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects

It would be nice if you have:

• Experience documenting WordPress products, themes, or plugins
• Background in technical writing or content creation
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.)
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
• Video creation and editing skills
• Experience with Markdown and version control (Git)
• Understanding of SEO principles for documentation
  Previous work with SaaS or software documentation
