This brilliant little web app compresses PNG files. If you’ve struggled with too-large PNGs slowing down your sites, start here—it’ll often shrink them by 70% or more, with no perceptible loss in quality.

Note that the compression doesn’t seem to persist to the auto-generated image sizes WordPress creates based on the images you upload. So if you really need a compressed version of a specific size, you can manually overwrite that image (for example, image-1024×300.png) in its folder in /uploads with a TinyPNG version of the same image.

In any case, TinyPNG is a great first stop for PNG compression for any purpose. Their panda mascot is also adorable. Enjoy!
