Show Current Template

One of my least favorite things in WordPress development is figuring out which template file a given page is using. Tools that let me visualize it are helpful — wphierarchy.com is my go to — but they don’t tell me about what I’m seeing on the current site. Which of those files is actually being loaded?

Show Current Template is the best plugin I’ve found yet that simplifies that process. Since I discovered it a couple of weeks ago, it’s already saved me quite a bit of time and frustration—here’s hoping it’ll do the same for you!
