Easy Markdown to HTML Conversion with Dillinger

For writing online content, Markdown is a favorite of Redditors and nerds everywhere for writing richly marked-up text without the wordiness of typing HTML tags by hand.

But for writing WordPress posts, you eventually need to translate Markdown back into HTML. There are plugin solutions, but the first thing I tried is Dillinger, and it works plenty well for my needs. In fact, it instantly generates a beautiful HTML-ized preview and lets you download in your choice of formats—HTML, PDF, and more.

If you want to copy into a WordPress post, you might do an auto-delete of <p> and </p> tags in something like Sublime Text. Other than that, you should be good to go.
