Notes on a new design

If you’re an RSS reader, you’ll have to jump out to see the exciting new Nometech design, based on a theme released by Smashing Magazine a while ago.

So. Why a new design?

I didn’t really like the old one. Well, I sort of did, but I rushed it together and as a result the code was a bit all over the place. Whilst researching an upcoming Nometech post, I came across the ‘Simply Ornate’ theme from Smashing Magazine, and thought it’d look great on Nometech. The rest, as they say, is history.

I love the background you’ve got – how can I have one like that?

I used a great web app called BgPatterns.com. It’s free and great.

The tabs look cool. Can I have something like that on my site?

Yeah. The tabs are included with the theme, but you can get them from StereoInteractive.com

Anything else?

I have a habit of adding random new features to my themes, so check back soon for a spariodic spattering of new features.
